Got a new job, and they won’t tell me how to clock in?
I work at Arby’s.
I had an orientation last week, and yesterday was my first day actually working.
But noone has told me how to clock in. Noone even mentioned it at all. I didn’t specifically ask “how do I clock in?” But I did ask the manager there what I need to do when I first get to work everyday. He just showed me the little chart that tells me what station I’m working on, and told me to wash my hands and showed me where they keep gloves and such things.
This is my first job, so I don’t really know anything about it, and I wasn’t thinking about it at all when I was working.
So yesterday I didn’t clock in or out when I worked.
So, how do I explain that to the manager, and how to i make sure I get paid for that day?
Document all of your hours. AND if you do not like the job, simply quit. Arbys managers are usually rude and have a holier than thou attitude. Even with the customers. Don’t take the job too seriously. I’d opt for a nice mall job, personally, if I were you. Arby’s isn’t very friendly.
I used to work at Hooters, that is a kewl job.
