had the opportunity to get the system at a major discount, so I decided to give it a shot. How it works is, you fill out an evaluation about your skin, the kind of products you currently use, and your lifestyle, and it gives you a treatment solution – a group of products that you can purchase (regular price for the package is $39.90).

I filled out the evaluation and a few days later received my products.

Now, I have combination skin that tends to get oilier in summer, and they’d sent me the oily skin products. I received a face wash, an all-over acne treatment, and some cleansing pads, and a sample acne spot treatment, and a free cosmetic bag in the color of my choice (green).

So, when I got the products, I was immediately disappointed. The face wash, spot-treatment, and cleansing pads all had the active ingredient of 2% salicylic acid, and the all-over treatment had the active ingredient of benzoyl peroxide. Um, okay. How is that different from ANY anti-acne treatment? You can get Clearasil or Oxy pads with salicylic acid for $5, or Clean & Clear astringent with the same ingredient for $6. And I have a Noxzema cleanser with benzoyl peroxide that cost just a few bucks as well.

But since I already had it, I figured I’d try it out. I washed my face with the cleanser and then used the all-over treatment VERY lightly on my skin. And within two minutes my skin felt SO tight and dry that I had to SLATHER moisturizer all over. I mean, I would have moisturized anyway, but my skin has never felt that tight before.

So that’s that. I’m glad I got it at such a discount because I’d have been upset if I paid full price for glorified drugstore products, and drying ones at that.
The most common areas that are afflicted by cystic acne are on the arms, legs, neck, face, and the upper body. Sometimes the cyst-like lump can be the size a pea. It is very important to resist the urge to squeeze or fiddle with the cyst so that you do not encourage further infection.

What Causes Cystic Acne?

Cystic acne is caused by the same factors as regular acne, except that it forms deeper within the skin tissue. As a refresher to what those factors are we have included them below.

•Hormone Changes
•Oil Based Cosmetics, Cleansers, or Hair Products
•Certain Medications
•Heredity and Genetics
•Constantly Touching The Face

Instead of forming as the usual blackhead, these cystic infections form deep inside the skin tissue and do not have the ability to release its puss like a typical “pimple”. For this reason it is important to use an acne treatment that attacks acne at the root of the problem. Some treatments that are commonly used are:

•An oral antibiotic may be prescribed.
•Women may be prescribed oral contraceptives
•A doctor can make a small incision to draw out the infection.
•Intralesional corticosteroid injections may have to be shot into the cyst to minimize the swelling and diminish the infection.
Tips on Prevent Cystic Acne

Getting rid of cystic acne isn’t easy, but there are certain measures that you can take which will help reduce this skin infection and reduce the severity. Here are a few tips you can try to help prevent cystic acne from forming and help reduce the appearance.

•Always wash all make-up before going to bed
•Drink plenty of water each day to help the body eliminate toxin buildup
•Eat a well balanced diet consisting of fresh fruits and vegetables
•Resist the urge to squeeze or play around with a cystic acne bump
•Stay away from oil based make-up, cleansers, and moisturizers
What’s The Best Treatment For Cystic Acne?

If you’ve tried several acne products before, but you ended up being disappointed with your results, then you’re not alone. The truth is that the majority of acne treatments available only cleanse the surface of the skin for a temporary solution. In order to effectively treat cystic acne, you need a product that digs deep inside your pores and attacks the source of the problem.

Alot of causes of acne also happen from within the body due to over-active hormones or an excessive amount of toxins inside your body. Our best recommendation for treating cystic acne is to try a product called Exposed Skin Care. It works from the inside-out to attack the causes of acne from within your body by eliminating toxins and it also digs deep inside your pores to attack the causes of acne at the very root of the problem. Exposed is a clinically proven acne treatment developed by a team of dermatologists. This product is clinically proven to work and includes a no-questions asked 365 day guarantee.
