How do the people who keep apiaries (bee keepers) refine bee’s wax?
This is probably a simple way but I would like to know some details and what is it used for also?
You melt it then filter through a cheese cloth. If it is dark yellow it can be exposed to sunlight for a week or so to lighten it up. It makes a good furniture polish. I also use it to rub on drawer slides to make them open smoothly. Also I use it to rub on bowstrings; it helps keep them from fraying.
