Have you seen the infomercial for "Bumpits"? It's supposed to take your hair from flat to fabulous by giving you volume at the top. Being a sucker for infomercials that make products look so easy and effective, I bought them. I like to tease my hair at the crown but without a gallon of hairspray, the volume falls out by the end of the night, so I thought this may be a good solution to my problem. While I do like the effect that this product has on my hair, I cannot get it so that the Bumpit doesn't show through-- and let me tell you, I've got plenty of hair to cover it up. There's black, brunette, dark blonde, and light blonde. Not realizing that they came in different colors, I got the dark blonde one, but I don't know how much difference that makes. All you do is lift some hair from the top of your head and stick the Bumpit at the crown of your head, then cover with your lifted hair. So I'm going to keep messing with it, and maybe I'll have some luck. But I don't suggest running out to buy this product.
Everyone is having trouble with the teeth showing through the hair. I found the Original Hair Bumping product called Vidal Sassoon Hair Poufs at bombshellbeauty.com. They work great to achieve the volume in the crown area. Check them out.
